Xavier Algenio bags bronze for PH in Future Mathematicians competition

Incoming Ateneo de Manila Junior High School grade 9 mathlete Xavier Algenio (Montserrat/8-Isore in school year 2020-2021) won a bronze medal in the Indonesia-based 2021 Challenge for the Future Mathematicians (CFM) competition, which was held online on April 17, 2021. Xavier competed in the grade 8 division and is among the math wizards who garnered 41 golds, 109 silvers, and 174 bronzes for the Philippines in CFM’s primary and high school divisions.

Established in 2014, the CFM is an annual competition that aims to exchange the latest mathematics-related information, initiatives and applications across the world. Its participating countries include Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
