Agatep, De Los Santos contribute to Ateneo’s silver finish in UAAP 82 fencing

Two Ateneo Junior High School (AJHS) boys- Andre Agatep of Pamplona/10-Zuraire and Joaquin De Los Santos of Cardoner/8-Azevedo - won a medal in his respective team event in the UAAP Season 82 Fencing Championship, helping Ateneo de Manila University place second in the junior boys division. Agatep and his Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) teammates won gold in the team sabre event, while De Los Santos and his ASHS teammates bagged bronze in the team épée event.

Agatep’s teammates in the team sabre event were Ram Jimenez II (11-Escribano), Enrico Suplico (11-San Vitores), and Larco Cortez (11-De Brito). De Los Santos’ teammates in the team épée event were Seth Cucio (12-Holland), Jan Aguilar (12-Xavier), and Inigo Gascon (12-Evans).

University of the East (UE) once again emerged as junior boys champion of the UAAP Season 82 Fencing Championship, which was held from February 11 to 14, 2020, at the Paco Arena. .
