Biography:
Howard M. Calleja, more fondly known as “Atty. Howie” to colleagues in the legal profession, is a noted lecturer and litigation lawyer who has made significant contribution to various areas of Philippine legal practice. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in April 1995 and to the New York State Bar in June 2006. A Juris Doctor graduate of the Ateneo de Manila School of Law in 1994, received his certificate in International Law from the Hague Academy of International Law in Netherlands in 1996 and in 1997 his Masters in Law (LLM) in International Law from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, U.S.A. He then established his own law firm, Calleja Law Office in 2008.
He is also a Professor of Law in various notable law schools. He is the legal counsel for the Parish Pastoral Council of Responsible Voting (PPCRV). He is a regular lecturer for Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) on the subjects of Civil Law and Election Law.
