On the cusp of a new academic year, we recall that the Ateneo Law School’s first graduates were the twelve who comprised the Class of 1939. Interesting to note that each law student then, as it is now, was required to write a thesis. Equally interesting—as Dean Leoncio Monzon (FEU Institute of Law) observed in his letter to ALS Dean Manuel Lim—is how this inaugural crop introduced the newcomer law school to the legal community.
