Ateneo HS' Joel Alejandro wins gold in Smart Taekwondo Championship

Ateneo de Manila High School junior Joel Felipe Alejandro of 3-C won a gold medal at the 2012 Smart National Age Group Taekwondo Championship held last Sunday, November 18, at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Joel is one of the most bemedalled  members of the AHS Taekwondo Team.  Last September 18, he won the bronze medal for sparring in the UAAP Season 75 Taekwondo Tournament held at San Juan's Filoil-Flying V Arena.

 Last  September 23, he won the gold medal in the sparring event (light middleweight division) of the Smart-PTA (Philippine Taekwondo Association) National Interschool Taekwondo Tournament, where hundreds of jins from all over the country competed. The event was also held in the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
