Ateneo de Manila High School senior Calvin Charles "Ino" Canlas of 4-H 2013 once again reasserted his might on the tennis court, winning in several lawn tennis tournaments these past two weeks. At the 31st Philippine Columbian Association (PCA) Open in Manila held from November 11-18, Ino emerged as the 18 U singles champion after defeating Joshua Cano, 6-3, 6-3. As reported in The Philippine Star last November 24, Ino "used a variety of shots to overwhelm Cano and pocket the crown in the Group 1 Category event."

Ino also won 1st runnerup in the doubles category of the prestigious PCA Open, which was held in the PCA Tennis Courts in Paco, Manila.

At the Babolat Tennis Tournament held from November 2 to 5 in the Subic Tennis Center, Ino was first runnerup in both the 18U singles category and the 18U doubles category.

Last June, Ino was declared champion of the Makati Sports Club tennis tournament, 18U division.  He is also the captain of the AHS Lawn Tennis Team, which last September won back-to-back titles in the PAYA Lawn Tennis Tournament.

Since entering the Ateneo de Manila High School in June 2009, Ino has won more than 15  championship titles in lawn tennis. He has also been named Most Outstanding Athlete in Lawn Tennis at the AHS Athletes Night for three consecutive years.
