Ateneo HS is Philippine Handball Federation Champion!

On Sunday, October 12,  the Ateneo High School Handball Team won the Philippine Handball Federation Developmental League Boys' Open Division. In addition, two AHS students received individual awards.  Miguel Angelo V. Calderon (12E) was named MVP of the tournament, while Agustin Lagliva (12E) was named Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.

The other schools that participated in the tournament were La Salle College Antipolo, BRAFENHS, Colegio de San Agustin, San Benildo Integrated School, Montessori Integrated School (MIS), and Mahatma Gandhi International School (MGIS). It was San Benildo which team AHS fought for the championship.
 
The team’s members are Jaime I. Viceo (9F), Kristopher Gabriel V. Vidanes (9K), Ryan Matthew S. Marinas (10M), Miguel Diaz De Rivera (11C), Alonso M. Castillo (11H), Antoine Miguel A. Fontanilla (11H), Gabriel Bernardo B. Panlilio (12L), Derrence Pascual (12E), Vicente P. Ongkeko IV (12E), Agustin Lagliva (12E), and Miguel Angelo V. Calderon (12E).  They are coached by Eric Agrava and Michael Borromeo. AMDG!
