AHS to host Ignatian Youth Camp from Jan. 13-16, 2015

Prayers are requested for our first Ignatian Youth Camp (IYC) 2015 which will be held from January 13-16, 2015. The IYC will gather more than 800 students from 10 Jesuit Basic Education Commission (JBEC) schools in the Philippines at the Ateneo de Manila High School. These schools are Xavier School (San Juan City), Xavier University/ Ateneo de Cagayan, Sacred Heart School/Ateneo de Cebu, Loyola College of Culion, Ateneo de Manila, Ateneo de Davao, Xavier School Nuvali, Ateneo de Zamboanga, and Sta. Maria Catholic School/Ateneo de Iloilo.  

The IYC aims to develop a sense of community among JBEC schools, provide students opportunities to build friendships across our schools, appreciate and acquire a common understanding of Ignatian Spirituality, celebrate the Bicentennial of the Restoration of the Society of Jesus, introduce current Jesuit ministries to students in order for them to be advocators of these ministries, and finally, promote Jesuit vocations.
