Ateneo HS wins 3 awards at Teenpreneur Challenge 2014!

At the conclusion of the Teenpreneur Challenge held on October 25 & 26 2014 at SM Megamall, Team Ateneo HS was blessed with three awards. The boys won 3rd Place for Best in Sales (P95,000+ in two days), 2nd Place for Best Product Innovation (see video at the top of this page), and 1st Place for the Teenpreneur Quiz Bee. The Ateneo High School Teenpreneurs won these awards for Baylon’s Beads, the company they established for the annual competition, which sold hippie headbands, black and brown wristbands, and assorted watches (antique, wooden, flowery, crystal pink, and rainbow) made from beads.
 
For the past five years, the Teenpreneur Committee of Ateneo de Manila High School has participated in the annual Teenpreneur Challenge. The expo helps partner communities raise the net income of their livelihood through the efforts of participating schools, whose students innovate and market the partners’ products. The Ateneo’s partner community this year was Baranggay 117 Livelihood from Caloocan, which specialized in making beaded accessories to support their families. The Ateneo Teenpreneur Committee helped the community by coming up with new products such as the beaded watches (Php 275), hippie bands (Php 150) and wristbands (Php 120). Of these products, Team Ateneo’s  runaway bestsellers were the watches.
