Bookmark Launches 3 Books Authored by AHS students

Bookmark recently launched three new books authored by three Ateneo High School students under the banner of its Modern Heroes for the Filipino Youth Series:  Legacy (on Lamberto Avellana) by Simon Godfrey Rodriguez of 12-B, The Hero of Mount Pinatubo (on Raymundo Punongbayan) by Julian Christian Patdu of 12-O, and The World, My World, In My Eyes (on Vicente Manansala) by Carl Matthew Rodriguez of 11-O.

The three stories were the winners of Bookmark's Modern Heroes for the Filipino Youth Book Writing Contest for SY2013-2014, which was held in partnership with the AHS English Subject Area two years ago. The books were launched on February 24, 2016 at The Last Chukker in Manila Polo Club, Makati City.

Todate, there are six books in Bookmark’s Modern Heroes for the Filipino Youth Series that were authored by AHS students. The aforementioned three join Miguel Morales’ Lucio San Pedro and His Colorful Music, Jake Advincula’s My Father, The ‘Soldier’ (on Jose Abad Santos) and Joaquin de Guzman’s I Know Where My Heart Is (on Richie Fernando).
