After 5 games, Blue Eaglets' record in PCABL tourney is 5-0!

Five games into the first ever Jumbo Plastic Linoleum Cup/Pilipinas Chinese Amateur Basketball League (PCABL) championship, the Ateneo de Manila High School’s Blue Eaglets have distinguished themselves with an immaculate record of 5-0.

The Eaglets began the tournament by beating Chiang Kai Shek, 71-67, last August 10.
 
In their second game, the blue and white beat Perpetual Academy, 95-63, on August 16.
 
Ateneo High School chalked up their third Jumbo Cup/PCABL win on August 21, beating FEU-FERN 69-64.  
 
Their fourth win was against UPIS, 84-68.   
 
Last August 30, the Eaglets beat Diliman Preparatory School (DPS), 97-54. (See video at the top of this page.)
 
Of note is the fact that Blue Eaglets Jolo Mendoza, Mike Nieto, and Matthew Nieto did not play for the Ateneo squad in the first five games of the Jumbo Cup due to their participation in the FIBA U17 World Cup as members of the RP U17/ Batang Gilas team throughout August.
 
For its 6th game in the Jumbo Cup/PCABL campaign, Ateneo will face Adamson on Sept. 6 at 9:30am in Enderun Colleges in McKinley Hill.

This year’s Blue Eaglets are: Bryan Andrade (11-D), SJ Belangel (9-E), Zach Bernardo (11-J), Gabriel Cruz (   ), Justin Eustaquio (11-M), Carlos Gatmaytan (10-H), Jossier Hassan (11-J), Shaun Ildefonso (11-D), Enzo  Joson (11-H), Gian Mamuyac (11-G), Jolo Mendoza (11-L), Japeth Moreno (12-G), Matthew Nieto (12-F), Mike Nieto (12-E), Miguel Ramos (12-L), Alfonso Rosales (11-M), Marc Salandanan (12-I), Sandro Soriano (11-N), and Dale Termoso (11-H).  
 
Their head coach is Joe Silva.
