AHS Chess Team is PAYA champion!

The Ateneo de Manila High School Chess Team is champion of the Philippine Athletic Youth Association (PAYA) Chess Championship. The games were held on September 5 and 6 and on October 4 and 11, 2015 in La Salle Greenhills. Here’s how our blue chess wizards performed:
 
Board 1: Seth Dallego (9-I)- won 3/3 matches   
Board 2: Haince De Leon (11-B)- GOLD
Board 3: Pancho Carlos (12-K)- BRONZE  
Board 4: Kailo Bigcas (11-F)- SILVER
Board 5: Jake Guevara (9-N)- GOLD
Board 6: Jaime de Veyra (10-G)- GOLD

The AHS Chess Team is coached by Erwin Carag and Roland Perez.

Among the schools our boys competed against were La Salle Greenhills, De La Salle Zobel, Claret School of Quezon City, Colegio San Agustin, Lourdes School of Quezon City, Diliman Preparatory School, Xavier, and Marist.
