Ateneo HS places 2nd in UAAP Season 77 Athletics; Gayoso is MVP!

The Ateneo de Manila High School track and field team finished in second place in the UAAP Season 77 athletics championship, boys division.  And while University of the East (UE) won the championship, the coveted award for Most Valuable Player (MVP) was given to an Atenean- Javier Augustine “Jarvey” Gayoso of 12J- who made his track and field debut at the tournament that ran from December 6 to 10, 2014.
 
Here is an unofficial medal tally of Team Ateneo at the UAAP Season 77 athletics championship:
 
100m run: Jarvey Gayoso (12J)- Gold
Long Jump: Jarvey Gayoso (12J)- Gold; John Abarrientos (11A)- Silver
High Jump: Jarvey Gayoso (12J)- Gold
4 x 400m relay: Nigel Ganzon (12L), Tobi Sales (12M), Anton Cruz (12J), Jarvey Gayoso (12J)- Gold
Pole Vault: Mark Operario (10J)- Silver
Decathlon: James Magpoc (11L)- Silver
800m run: Nigel Ganzon (12L)- Silver; Tobi Sales (12M)- Bronze
110m Hurdles: James Magpoc (11L)- Bronze
Triple Jump: Mark Operario (10J)- Bronze
200m run: Jarvey Gayoso- Gold; Tobi Sales (12M)- Bronze  
400m run: Nigel Ganzon (12L)- Gold
Javelin: Jiggy Sim (11H)- Bronze
Shot put: Ardy Mercado (11F)- Bronze
400m Hurdles: Nigel Ganzon (12L)- Gold
