Ateneo HS sweeps AAPS QC District 3 Table Tennis Tournament 2014!

Four members of the Ateneo de Manila High School varsity table tennis team- Mario Quimbo (10-E), Mervyn Macalalag (12-H), Jonathan Jiao (12-M), and Eedjik Roque (11-G)- swept their matches at the AAPS (Athletic Association of Private Schools) Quezon City District III table tennis tournament held last Saturday, September 6 at the Ateneo Blue Eagle Gym. They won over players from Diliman Preparatory School (DPS) and Stella Maris. Quimbo won in the single A category, while Macalalag won in single B. Roque and Jiao won in the doubles category.
 
Because of their wins at the district meet, all four players will move on to the Quezon City unit meet to be held in October for possible slots in the Quezon City/NCR team that will compete in Palarong Pambansa 2015.
 
The boys are coached by Michael John M. Breiva.
