RP places 3rd in Int'l Intermediate Baseball Tournament in China

The Philippine Little League International Intermediate Team placed 3rd in the Little League International Intermediate Asia Pacific Tournament held in Conghua, Guangzhou, China from July 1 to 9, 2015. South Korea emerged the winner while Japan placed second. The other participants in the tournament were Pakistan, China and Hong Kong, all of whom Philippines beat in the elimination round. 
 
Team Philippines was composed of 11 boys from various schools in Metro Manila.  Of the 11, five were from Ateneo de Manila, namely Kaleb Abergas (9C), Yuan de la Rosa (8-Claver), Marcel Guzman  (8-Pignatelli), Ethan Mitschiener (8-Xavier), and Zach Peña (8-Pignatelli).
 
Yuan, Marcel and Zach were part of the NCR Team which won gold in this year's Palarong Pambansa Elementary Baseball tournament, the qualifying tournament for the Little League International Intermediate Asia Pacific Tournament.
