Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific
The Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific (JCAP) covers Jesuit life and service in Australia, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam, and the countries of the Pacific notably Micronesia. The Conference convenes and promotes solidarity among Jesuits in Asia Pacific to facilitate the Society’s mission to serve faith, promote justice, dialogue with other religions and seek creative engagement with cultures.
The Jesuits in Asia Pacific are engaged, along with many collaborators, in frontier services in fields such as evangelization, education, social service and communication. JCAP supports these activities and promotes formation and planning for them. JCAP also promotes cooperation for the care of vulnerable and forcibly displaced migrants, ecological research and education, ministry among the youth, and innovative educational projects."
