Red Dimaano of A2014 is Valedictorian of AJSS 2013!

At the conclusion of the Ateneo Junior Summer Seminar (AJSS) 2013 last May 25, then-incoming Ateneo de Manila High School senior Rafael “Red” Abella Dimaano of A2014 was named Valedictorian of the batch, besting 75 of his co-participants. He also received awards for Best in Mathematics and Best in Philosophy. As valedictorian of AJSS 2013/Batch 46, Red will receive a 100% scholarship at Ateneo de Manila University.

AJSS is an annual, all-expenses-paid summer seminar whose participants are the best incoming high school seniors in the Philippines. For six weeks, the boys and girls get a taste of what life is like as Ateneo de Manila University students. AJSS Batch 46 had 76 participants.    

Red is a consistent honor student at the Ateneo High School. At the Reading of Honors ceremony held last June 25, he was one of only 13 students in his batch to receive first honors and a Kostka award for deportment for the third term of school year 2012-2013. Red is currently Head Treasurer of the Sanggu HS and bassist of Ashley’s Kryptonite,  a band whose members are all AHS students.
