Ateneo de Manila University wins the All-Ateneo Business Case Competition 2020

March 06, 2020

The Ateneo de Manila University hosted the second All-Ateneo Business Case Competition (AABC) last February 28 in partnership with Accenture and Security Bank Corporation, with the theme of Transformation through Generational Change in Family Business. The annual competition among the five Ateneo universities — Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Manila, Naga, and Zamboanga — was initiated with the objective of sharing among Ateneo universities the experience of preparing for and participating in case competitions. The AABC was conceptualized by a trio of faculty that includes Mr. Johnny Filart, Mr. Jay Cruz, and Mr. Hector Guballa, all John Gokongwei School of Management (JGSOM) faculty members. Since 2008, they have been mentoring students in analyzing a wide spectrum of case studies to prepare for local and international case competitions. Aside from bringing the Ateneo universities together, the trio aims to see the universities collaborating to publish Ateneo’s very own compilation of business cases.
