Loyola Schools Awards for Leadership and Service
The Loyola Schools Awards for Leadership and Services acknowledges and gives distinction to the efforts of the students of the Loyola Schools in the area of positive leadership—in the service of others; purposeful and empowering; engaging the community and nurturing hope. Exhibited by individuals and groups in various projects and activities, these models are recognized that they may further inspire and influence. The students are recognied in a ceremony aptly called" Paghahandog: A Celebration of Student Leadership and Service." The awards comprised of the following:

Ateneo Socio-Civic Engagement for National Development (ASCEND) Awards
The ASCEND Awards honor those exemplars from the different schools who successfully marry the need for the development of personal competencies and discipline mastery with the commitment to address the real needs of the country through their profession.
These research papers and projects actualize the University President’s call to engage the community while contributing to national development as a venue for disciplinary mastery - contributing to the creation of inclusive, empowering and sustainable economic development, political institutions, and/or culture and communities.
The Guidon-Moro Lorenzo Award for Sports
The GUIDON and the Lorenzo family confer the Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year Awards to deserving student-athletes who exemplify the Ateneo ideal of mens sana in corpore sano - a sound mind in a sound body. Named after the legendary Luis “Moro” Lorenzo, the awards endeavor to recognize athletes who have shown excellence and utmost dedication in their sport.
The search for the Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year is open to all current Ateneo athletes. They must demonstrate that unique capacity to effectively stand out in their respective field of sports and at the same time, strike a balance between academic performance and extracurricular activities.
The Ambrosio Padilla Athlete of the Year Award
Ambrosio Padilla graduated from the Ateneo Summa cum laude (AB ‘30) after leading the Blue Eagles to the 1928 NCAA championships, and the Philippine Team to the championships of the 1930 Far Eastern Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. He would go on with great success in UP Law (as batch salutatorian), the World Olympics (earning the moniker “the fatal forward”), as a doctor of civil law, as Solicitor General, then as Senator, and as Vice Chairman of the Constitutional Commission of 1986. Today, his memory lives on in the Ambrosio Padilla award that recognizes those who strive towards the same ideals he lived by -- mens sana in corpore sano.
