The Ateneo Center for English Language Teaching (ACELT), founded on March 27, 1981, is an outreach center of the English Department of the School of Humanities, Ateneo de Manila University. This institution was founded by the Jesuit Order in 1859, given university status in 1959, and incorporated under the Philippine law as a non-stock, non-profit, private educational institution.

ACELT aims to upgrade the standards in English language and literature education by providing primary, secondary, tertiary teachers, teacher trainers, and educational and school leaders with programs that are based on contextualized approaches to English language teaching, which are anchored on current pedagogical issues and developments in the use of English in the country and the region.
