Contemporary Filipino Studies - a conference

The Kagawaran ng Filipino of the Ateneo de Manila University, through the Commission on Higher Education, will be holding “Contemporary Filipino Studies: Predicaments and Possibilities” on May 11-12, 2018, at the Convergent Technologies Center Room 413.

Invited keynote speakers are historian Danilo Madrid Gerona and literary scholar Jose Francisco Benitez, President of the Philippine Women’s University.

The conference-workshop is co-convened by critics J Pilapil Jacobo and Gary Devilles of the Kagawaran ng Filipino and will feature scholars like Benilda Santos, Alvin Yapan, Jocelyn Martin, Agustin Rodriguez, Jozon Lorenzana, Marita Concepcion Guevara, Tito Valiente, Stephanie Coo, Maria Natividad Karaan, Christian Benitez, and Oscar Campomanes.
