Interdisciplinary Studies
The Department’s mission is to develop graduates who possess a holistic view of the world. Students meet this goal by taking courses in at least two disciplines (e.g., communication and business, literature and philosophy) and applying the interdisciplinary method in their courses as well as in a final senior seminar paper. Students are thus challenged to think outside the box and look into other ways of exploring personal and social experiences through a creative and critical engagement with an ever-changing reality.
The program prepares students to face the demands of their chosen profession, whether in the arts, media, or entrepreneurship, to name a few.
