Guizhou University

Guizhou University is a sprawling university located in Guiyang, and is one of the largest universities in Southwest China. It has strengths in agriculture and related sciences.  Guizhou accepts exchange students for a full schoolyear, and offers such students training in Mandarin Chinese.  The university also has programs in Chinese language and literature, journalism, English language and literature, drawing and painting, drama, sculpture, dance, music performance, arts design, stage performance, business, and philosophy. Its dominant language of instruction is Mandarin.

Guizhou province is known for its ethnic diversity, with more than a third of its population belonging to ethnocultural minorities. It is still relatively unspoilt by development and has beautiful mountainous scenery.
