SOSE students win awards at inter-school pre-med quiz

Ateneo students from the School of Science and Engineering (SOSE) bagged the 2nd and 3rd places in MEDalya: The Annual Inter-University Pre-Medicine Quiz Bee held on April 30, 2016.
 
The 2 teams of students were also members of the Ateneo Biological Organization – eXplore, eXperience, eXcel (BOx).
 
Kirk Louie U. Amandoron (4 BS Life Science), Francis Mart Angelo Legitimas (4 BS Biology), Magin Benedict Ferrer (2 BS Chemistry-MSE) and Peterni Coloyan (2 BS Life Science) won 2nd place.
 
3rd place winners were Jhoana Garces (5 BS Biology), Bien Perry Romulo (3 BS Life Science), Joseph Raymund Sanchez (2 BS Biology) and Johanne Michael Flores (4 BS Life Science).
 
MEDalya was pioneered by the Medical Missions Incorporated – Student Group (MMI-SG), a student organization of the University of Santo Tomas that provided health care to Filipinos through medical missions.
 
Every year it brings together pre-med students to participate in a friendly competition on the areas of Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Social Sciences and Medicine.
