Sarmenta receives UP Distinguished Alumnus award

Department of Communication chair and veteran broadcast and print journalist Dr. Severino R. Sarmenta was honored by the University of the Philippines Alumni Association (UPAA) with a 2016 UPAA Distinguished Alumnus Award in Communication.
Sarmenta received both his graduate degrees from the University of the Philippines-Diliman – Master of Arts in Communication (MAC) in 1986, and Doctor of Philosophy in 2012. The awarding ceremonies were held at the Bahay ng Alumni in the UP-Diliman campus in Quezon City on June 25, 2016.
