Eagle Watch: On Aquinomics, Good Governance, and Higher Economic Growth

Dr. Fernando T. Aldaba, former chair of the Economics Department and a senior fellow of Eagle Watch, the school's macroeconomic research and forecasting unit, examines President Benigno Aquino's good governance campaign and economic policies in an article published in BusinessMirror on  June 19, 2014. It traces Philippine economic growth from the previous administration of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to the current administration's accomplishments, such as increased diversity in the factors contributing to the current growth of the economy. It also notes key weaknesses in the agriculture sector and the lack of "inclusivity" in the growth path of the Philippine economy.
