Education Department

The Department of Education of the Ateneo de Manila University is committed to serve the Philippine educational system through graduate education and research programs, to empower educators through an understanding of their profession and vocation, and to lead in influencing educational policies and directions.

The Department offers graduate degree programs grounded on sound pedagogical theories and on the Jesuit tradition of intellectual excellence and service for others. The Department also undertakes research in various areas of education and conducts retraining programs for education practitioners through the Ateneo Teacher Center. It harnesses the expertise of professionals and practitioners from the other units of the University and the Ateneo system.

While the Department primarily offers graduate degree programs, it also offers a Minor in Education to undergraduates looking toward a career in teaching.
