Biography: 

Dr. Bautista is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and Chairperson of the Department of Economics (2105-18), Ateneo de Manila University.  She completed her AB Economics from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City and her masteral and doctoral degrees in Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University.  Prior to this, she was an economics researcher (legislative staff) for the Senate Committee of Trade and Commerce, where she worked from June 1989 to February 1992. From 1988-90, she was also a part-time lecturer in De la Salle University, Manila.  She started her teaching career in La Salle Green Hills (1985-86) and in Maryknoll College (1986-88) as a high school economics teacher.
 
In Ateneo de Manila,  Dr. Bautista teaches Economics of the European Integration, Basic Economics, Intermediate Microeconomic Theory and Economics of Population/ Economic Demography
