Scholarships

The Matteo Ricci Scholarships were created in 2011 through the generous efforts of Fr. Bienvenido F. Nebres SJ, and the Ricardo Leong Center for Chinese Studies. Its primary aim is to provide funding to support outstanding students undertaking the AB in Chinese Studies at the Ateneo de Manila University. However, the overarching goal is to support student interest in Chinese Studies. Thus, the funding may also be used to support study-abroad programs relating to Chinese Studies and to support students undertaking a minor in Chinese Studies or engaging in academic activities relating to China.
