PoS Forum on the West PH Sea

QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES - The Department of Political Science held a forum last 18 September 2017, entitled "Defending our Future: A Forum on the West Philippine Sea and the Philippine Rise". The goal of the forum was to engage the academic community as regards the maritime and archipelagic issues that confront the Philippines. MGen. Restituto Padilla, Jr., currently the Spokesperson, Armed Forces of the Philippines and Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans was the main speaker. He was joined by a panel of reactors: Dr. Cecilia Noble of Lingkod Bayan and Mana Mo; Dr. Cora Claudio of Management Association of the Philippines; and, Mr. Lorenzo Pangilinan an Ateneo PoS major.

Partner agencies and invited guests include Undersecretary Manny Bautista of the Office of the President, representatives from the Office of Undersecretary Alano of the National Coast Watch Council, Philippine Coast Guard, Metrobank, Topsoldiers, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
