A Social and Political-Economic Assessment of an Urban Community in Metro Manila: The case of Welfareville

This paper documents the attempts and experiences of urban renewal in a community within the heart of the city, with particular focus on the Welfareville case. Using a socio-political-economic vulnerability context framework, the study identifies the different gainers, losers, levels and extent of impacts of urban renewal processes on the different affected groups.
