In celebration of Social Sciences week, the School of Social Sciences warmly invites Faculty and Graduate Students to the first
SOSS Graduate Research Colloquium
on
Wednesday, February 6, 2013, 4:30-7:00pm

The colloquium will feature presentations by graduate students whose theses and disserrations have been nominated for the SOSS Outstanding Graduate Thesis Award and the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award:

Dr Armand Guidote, Loyola Schools Associate Dean for Research and Creative Works, will give the welcome remarks, after the opening prayer to be led by Sr Belinda Revita, MA student of Educational Administration. Certificates and awards will be handed to the nominees and awardees by Dr Celeste Gonzalez, LS Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, assisted by Dr Ma Elizabeth J Macapagal, Research Coordinator of the School of Social Sciences. Ms Valerie Buenaventura, MA PoS Global Politics, will serve as the moderator.
To enable the widest possible participation in this Graduate Research Colloquium, graduate classes in the School of Social Sciences are suspended on 6 February 2013 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Department Chairs and Program Directors are enjoined to encourage faculty and students to attend the colloquium even if they do not have classes on that day.
