Online Learning Exchange Program (OLEP), Ateneo de Manila University’s alternative program, was recognized as one of the awardees at the first Philippine Higher Education Internationalization Award. The award was presented on Wednesday, 19 May, at a virtual ceremony.
A collaboration of the UP Open University and the Commission of Higher Education (CHED), the Philippine Higher Education Internationalization Award recognizes institutions of higher learning who were able to implement internationalization initiatives that are innovative, creative, and sustainable. Seventeen higher education institutions (HEI) in the country were commended for their significant internationalization contributions. Aside from Ateneo de Manila, another Jesuit HEI was included in the roster- Ateneo de Davao University.

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ateneo de Manila University moved to address the immediate and continuing challenges, pivoting to online learning with AteneoBlueCloud. Rooted in its Ignatian values, AteneoBlueCloud is an innovation that affords students a quality Jesuit education in a new platform.
Under AteneoBlueCloud, OLEP allows students from partner universities to take online courses at Ateneo for a semester.
