Aaron Cacas is ranked 8th in PIMSO's Science category
Gifted Ateneo de Manila Senior High School students Aaron Cacas (12-Navarro, Class of 2021), Harvey Allen Ylanan (12-Sullivan), Amber Lim (11-Tsuji), and Maggi Castañeda (11-Torres) won medal awards in the Science category of the Philippine International Math and Science Olympics (PIMSO) National Round, which was held online on June 27, 2021. Leading the “PIMSOlvers” was gold awardee Aaron Cacas (a Salutatorian of the Class of 2021), who was ranked 8th among all participants in the senior secondary/grade 11 & grade 12 division. Following him was fellow gold awardee Harvey Allen Ylanan, who was ranked 9th in the senior secondary/grade 11 & grade 12 division. Winning silver and bronze awards in the secondary 4/grade 10 division were Amber Lim and Maggi Castañeda, respectively.
Organized by the International Champions in Education (ICE), PIMSO aims to promote excellence and proficiency in Mathematics and Science through friendly global competitions, and to promote Philippine tourism to other country partners worldwide.
