ASHS is Research Proposal champ of UPLB Genetics Camp

Seven Ateneo de Manila Senior High School students won awards during the recent UPLB Genetics Camp 2021 held from April 10 – 11, 2021 via Zoom. They are as follows:

Also participating in the UPLB Genetics Camp were: Rainier Tayag, 12-Oldcorne (Digital Poster Making Contest); Pedro Salongsongan, 12-Oldcorne (Essay Writing Contest); and Maxine Dayrit, 12-Daniel (Essay Writing Contest). 

The ASHS students were coached by Mr. Cheo Crispino and Mrs. Johanna Dela Paz.

The Genetics Camp is an annual activity organized by the UPLB Genetics Society for high school students to discuss trends, activities, and ideas in Genetics through lectures, symposia, workshops, and contests. The theme of the 2021 camp was, “BioenGENEers: Examining the Role of Recombinant DNA Technology Amidst Recent Challenges in Public Health.”
Among the other schools which participated in the camp were Lyceum of the Philippines University, Mapua University, Rizal National Science High School, Philippine Science High School and University of the Philippines Integrated School.
