Carrido, Fadri, & Macarasig are UP Miners Quiz Bee champs

Composed of Rachel Carrido (12-Oldcorne), Gabriel Fadri (12-Pantalia), and Ralph Macarasig (12-Ogilvie), Ateneo Senior High School Team 2 is champion of Goldclash 2017, the UP Miners’ Quiz Bee. The competition was held in the Melchor Hall Theater of UP Diliman’s College of Engineering last September 30, 2017. En route to obtaining the highest score in the quiz bee, Team A answered all questions of the Average Round correctly and topped the 28 participating teams that represented 14 schools in the NCR. The quiz bee was composed of questions from general science (physics, chemistry,  biology), mathematics, earth science, and mining.
 
Macarasig, Carrido, and Fadri received certificates and medals, as well as 5,000 pesos cash.
 
Ateneo Senior High School was also represented at Goldclash by another team whose members were Martin Paterno (12-Sullivan), Cherry Silapan (12-Sullivan), and Alison Tan (11-San Vitores).
 
The two ASHS teams were trained and coached by Javy Fabello, Emman Delocado, and Joseph Mico Santos.
