Dela Cruz receives gold at AMSLI award ceremony

Mathlete Brian Dela Cruz of 11-Nakaura on received a gold medal during the Asian Math Sci League Inc. (AMSLI) awarding ceremony held last June 15, 2019. The medal was for the Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) held last April 6, 2019. SASMO ranked Brian #6 in the Philippines and #19 globally among grade 10 gold medalists. As a SASMO gold medalist, Brian will represent the Philippines in the International Junior Math Olympiad (IJMO) to be held in Malaysia from July 26 to 30, 2019.
 
Brian has been competing and winning medals in various national and international competitions for the Ateneo de Manila since he was in grade 7. At the Ateneo Junior High School Closing Ceremony held last March 30, 2019, he was his batch’s Subject Area Awardee for Mathematics.
