Keean Tang is ranked #1 globally in SEAMO X Finals

Representing the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Senior High School mathletes Keean Tang (11-Torres) and Marion De Leon (12-Pro) emerged as medal awardees in the Champions division of the recent Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad X (SEAMO X) Finals. Keean received the gold award and was ranked #1 globally in the Olympiad’s Grade 11 category, while Marion received the silver award and was ranked #2 globally in the competition’s Grade 12 category.

Organized by the Terry Chew Academy of Singapore, the SEAMO X 2021 Finals were conducted online on January 16, 2021. The awarding ceremony was livestreamed days later on January 23, 2021. Since 2016, SEAMO has helped thousands of students gain global recognition in the field of mathematics and has spread rapidly from eight to 22 countries within the short span of five years.
