Resado is World Scholar's Cup's "Best in School"
Representing the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila Senior High School students Arabella Resado (11-Hurtado) and Vince Hubilla (11-Realino) both won multiple medals each at the World Scholar’s Cup Tournament of Champions (WSC TOC) held at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut from November 8 to 13, 2019. In the individual competitions of the Senior Division, Resado won three golds (Arts, Debate, 1st in School) and one silver (Writing). The “1st in School” gold medal is given to each participating school’s top-performing student. Meanwhile, Hubilla won one gold (Social Studies) and two silvers (Special Area and Writing). Together with Ateneo de Manila Junior High School student Mykael Ramira (10-Gelabert), Resado and Hubilla competed as Team 729 and won another silver medal for Team Writing competition of the Senior Division.
The 2019 World Scholar’s Cup Tournament of Champions attracted thousands of “scholars” from over 50 countries.
