TIMETABLE FOR APPEALS FOR ADMISSION and CHANGE OF INITIAL STRAND for GRADE 11 2021-2022, ATENEO DE MANILA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
A. Appeals for a Change of Initial Strand
At present, all slots in all strands are filled up. Thus, applicants should confirm their slots in Grade 11 SY 2021-2022 based on the initially granted strand.
Accepted applicants may submit an appeal for a change of initial strand within the period of May 10 to 28, 2021. Granting of appeals will depend on whether or not slots in the desired strand open up after all accepted applicants have confirmed their slots. Provided that there are slots, the applicant’s grades (as subjected to our mathematical model that allows us to compare data across schools and different types of grading systems) and the appeals of the other applicants for the limited number of slots will all come into play.
Appeal letters should be written by the applicant and noted by the applicant’s parent or guardian. Letters should be addressed to Mr. Noel P. Miranda, Incoming Principal, Ateneo de Manila Senior High School. Applicants must attach a copy of their latest available report card, along with the explanation of the grading system (e.g. numerical equivalents in case of a letter mark or descriptive grading systems).
All appeal letters must be emailed to oas.ashs@ateneo.edu. Please indicate the following as the subject of your email: Appeal for Change of Strand_Last Name of Applicant, Complete First Name (Current School).
Decisions on appeals for change of initial strand will be emailed to the applicant in mid-June, in time for enrollment on June 21-July 2, 2021. (Note: the OAS only processes appeals for change of initial strand, prior to enrollment. The APAA handles appeals for change of strand of enrolled students.)
