ASHS jins Santos & Bermejo are both MVPs and gold medalists in Smart TKD tilt

Two Ateneo Senior High School (ASHS) students- Harley Santos of 11-Chabanel and Julienne Bermejo of 11-Hurtado- each won the gold medal and the MVP award in their respective divisions at the Smart MVP Best of the Best Taekwondo Tournament. Harley’s gold medal was for the 55 kg to 63 kg weight division while his MVP award was for the junior men’s division. Julienne’s gold medal was for the 49 kg to 54 kg category, while her MVP award was for the junior women’s division. Julienne became the first ASHS co-ed student athlete to win a gold medal and an MVP award in any sport. Both Harley and Julienne are new to the ASHS, having spent their junior high school years in other schools.

The Smart MVP Best of the Best Taekwondo Tournament was held at SM Mall of Asia on Sunday, September 4, 2016.
