Ateneo is general champ of QC track & field meet for boys
With a medal haul of eight golds, eight silvers and four bronzes, the Ateneo de Manila boys’ track and field team emerged as general champion of the Quezon City track & field meet held last December 18, 2018 at the PhilSports Complex in Pasig City. As such, the blue and white gold medalists and some of the silver medalists will move on to next month's NCR meet for a chance to represent the NCR at Palarong Pambansa 2019, which will be held in Davao City in April. Here are the details of Ateneo’s medal haul at the Quezon City meet:
Miggy Restor (HUMSS/12-Navarro): two golds (4000m run, 200m run)
Javi Sale (HUMSS/12-Miki): two golds (shotput and discus)
Ray Vicente (GA/12-Daniel): gold + new Quezon City record in high jump
Dave Antonio (ABM/12-Acquaviva): gold in javelin + silver in shotput
Gio Divino (GA/12-Holland): gold in 100m run + silver in 200m run
Sema Sison (GA/12-Geronimo): gold in 3000m steeplechase
Miguel Cabradilla (GA/12-Evans): two silvers (discus, javelin)
Cito de Guzman (STEM/12-Walpole): silver in 800m run + bronze in 1500m run
Miguel Argosino (ABM/12-Beyzym): silver in 2000m walk
Kevin Dizon (STEM/11-Torres): bronze in 5000m run
Marcus Lao (GA/12 Holland): bronze in long jump
Lucas Lopez(GA/12-Grodecky): bronze in high jump
