Ateneo is QC baseball champion

Ateneo High School recently emerged as champion of the Quezon City Baseball Meet and will represent QC in the upcoming DepEd NCR regionals. If successful at the regionals, Ateneo will go on to represent the NCR at Palarong Pambansa 2018, which will be held in Ilocos Sur. Team Ateneo, which consists of players from the junior high school and senior high school, won against Ramon Magsaysay High School in the QC Meet finals held in Barangka Baseball Field in Marikina last December 1, 2017. As defending champion, Team Ateneo was in the winners bracket. Prior to the finals against Ramon Magsaysay High, the blue and white batters were also victorious in the eliminations against Batasan High School and Ramon Magsaysay played on November 28 and 29, 2017.  

Playing for Ateneo were Yuan de la Rosa (La Storta/10-Garnier), Nathan Carpio (STEM/12-Ogilvie), Manuel Guzman (STEM/12-Walpole), Marcel Guzman (La Storta/10-Ferreres), Ohmid Halabisaz (Pamplona/9-Spinola), Kean Agcaoili (Pamplona/10-Yuki), Gabby Angeles (ABM/12-Bobola), Matteo Salazar (HUMSS/12-Kibe), Joaquin Casanova (Cardoner/10-Berthieu), Miguel Alvaro (ABM/12-Beyzym), John San Juan (Cardoner/10-Chabanel), and Emilio Perez (Montserrat/10-Morse). They were coached by Randy Dizer, Jose Jose, and Adriane Bernardo.
