Ateneo/QC baseball team to rep NCR at Palarong Pambansa 2019

Representing Quezon City, the Ateneo baseball team emerged as champion of the NCR baseball meet. AS such, the blue and white will represent the NCR at Palarong Pambansa this April in Davao. In addition, four Ateneans received special awards: Joaquin Casanova, best catcher; Dax Fabella, most homeruns; Matt San Juan, most runs batted in; and Zach Urbina, MVP. The members of the team are Kean Agcaoili (11-Garnet), Joaquin Casanova (11-San Vitores), Yuan de la Rosa (11-Fontoura), Dax Fabella (11-San Vitores), Marcel Guzman (11-Borja), Ohmid Halabisaz (10-Zuraire), Zeke Laygo (11-De Brito), Gabby Mendoza (9-Sitjar), Joaquin Mendoza (11-Angelis), Matt San Juan (11-Fontoura), Aloi Tuprio (12-Grodecky), and Zach Urbina (11-Goupil). They were coached by Pepe Jose, Jun Bonifacio & Emer Barandoc, and managed by Randy Dizer.
