Bong Gonzales is 18U champion of Wilson-Tobys Tennis Fest!

Ateneo de Manila Senior High School student Cenon “Bong” Gonzales Jr. of K2017 has clinched his second lawn tennis title in a week! Seven days after winning the boys doubles championship of the Technifibre Alabang 1018 Age Group Tournament (with partner Maraphael Teng) on April 17,  Bong emerged as the 18 under boys champion of the 15th Wilson-Tobys Summer Tennis Age Group Festival on April 24. The competition was held in the Philta Rizal Memorial Sports Complex from April 18-24, 2016.

At the Ateneo de Manila High School’s annual Recognition Day ceremony last February 26, Bong was one of only 28 students to receive a medal for distinguished individual achievement. Bong’s award was in recognition of the six national lawn tennis championships he won throughout school year 2015-2016. At the Office of Student Activities (OSA) Recognition Day ceremony held on February 25, Bong received the St. John de Brebeuf award for Most Outstanding Athlete (MOA) for Lawn Tennis for school year 2015-2016.
