Four Ateneo Senior High boys- Augusto Cruz of 11-Hurtado, Gio Divino of 11-Campion, Manmig Garrido of 12-Navarro, and Manu Guzman of 12-Walpole- established a new record in the UAAP Season 80 track & field  tournament in the morning of February 9, 2018 at the PhilSports/Ultra complex in Pasig City. Their time of 44.28 seconds reportedly beat the old record by almost one second. Ateneo’s medal haul in the boys’ division was four golds, two silvers and five bronzes, which put them at third place overall, behind champion UE and first runner-up UST.

The two silvers were won by Manmig Garrido in the 200m dash, and by Javier Sale (11-Nakaura) in the shotput.
