Mik Balce wins two titles in Cebuana Lhuillier tennis tourney!

Incoming Ateneo de Manila Senior High School student Manuel “Mik” Balce III won two titles at the conclusion of the Cebuana Lhuillier Age Group Tennis Tournament, emerging as 16U and 18U champion in the boys division. The competition was held from April 18-22, 2016 at the CDC-Clark Freeport Zone Tennis Courts in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

Mik was also selected to be a member of the Philippines' junior boys lawn tennis team which competed in the prestigious Davis Cup (junior boys category) from April 4-9 at the R.K. Khanna Stadium in New Delhi, India.

At the Ateneo de Manila High School’s annual Recognition Day ceremony last February 26, Mik was one of only 28 students to receive a medal for distinguished individual achievement. His  award was in recognition for the seven national lawn tennis championships he won from March 2015 to December 2015. At the Ateneo Junior High School Closing Ceremony held last March 30 2016, Mik was one of only three students to receive the St. Jean de Brebeuf award for being an exemplary student athlete.
