Wacky Santos is back-to-back MVP of UAAP 82 junior boys swimming

Wacky Santos with his 7 golds and MVP award With a medal haul of seven golds and a new UAAP record in the 400m individual medley, Ateneo Senior High School student Wacky Santos (12-Xavier) was named back-to-back Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the UAAP Season 82 swimming championship, junior boys division. The seven golds were for the 1500m freestyle, 400m freestyle, 200m individual medley, 800m freestyle, 200m backstroke, 200m butterfly, and the aforementioned record-setting 400m individual medley. Ateneo placed 3rd overall in the junior boys division, behind champion UST and 1st runner-up DLSU. 

The following Ateneans also won medals in these events in the junior boys division:

Charles Ticbaen (11-Wright): silver, 200m freestyle

Rafa Isip (M10-Pacheco): bronze, 50m breaststroke
 
Rafa Isip, Jacob Balanag (L10-Garnier), Gab de la Rosa(L10-Ferreres), and Charles Ticbaen: silver, 4x100m medley relay
 
Ethan Inocencio (L10-Garnier), Gab de la Rosa, Mikey Pile (11-San Vitores), and Denzel Ballestar (12-Oldcorne): bronze, 4x200m freestyle relay
 
Rafa Isip, Gab de la Rosa, Mikey Pile, Denzel Ballestar: bronze, 4x50m medley relay
