Grade 7 holds first online Mother & Son Day

The AJHS Grade 7 boys had their Mother & Son Day on March 27, 2021, with the majority of the grade level joining the first online version of the annual event. The event began with a plenary where AJHS Principal Mr. Jonny Salvador talked about how mothers should be role models of leadership and parenthood; PREP Director Fr. Bert Ampil shared the touching story of why mothers cry; Family & Relationship Coach and Grade 7 mom Aiza Caparas-Tabayoyong gave tips on how to build a trusting relationship and teach mothers and their sons how to appreciate each other; and JHS Campus Ministry Office Head Fr. Ro Atilano SJ led reflections on how mother and son bring each other closer to God, just like Jesus and Mary. Participants then went off to different Zoom rooms (according to the activity they chose) to bond with each other and learn something new from our experts. The event closed with a promise to honor, help and take care of each other. It was truly a fun and meaningful experience for the Grade 7 students and their moms!
