Lucas Llarena wins silver for PH in Korea-based TKD tourney

Ateneo de Manila Junior High School jin Lucas Llarena (Cardoner/8-Arrowsmith) won two medals- a silver and a bronze- in two online taekwondo tournaments that were held during the weekend of October 8 – 10, 2021.

The silver was for the Korea-based Kim Un-Yong International Taekwondo Championships, which were held online on Oct. 8, 2021. Representing the Philippines, Lucas won his silver in the individual cadet male black Group 24 division. The competition's participating countries included Bolivia, Hong Kong, Latvia, Mexico, Myanmar, Philippines, South Korea, Tunisia, USA, and Venezuela.  

Two days later, on Oct. 10, Lucas won a bronze in the cadet male black belt division of the 2021 Smart/MVPSF Online National Poomsae Age Group Championships, which pitted him against jins from all over the Philippines.
